The vision journal is a lot more interactive because it can be used during and after every goal. I use my journal in conjunction with my boards, to elaborate on the things that I want to achieve in my life. Sometimes it helps to divide your life into sections – relationships, finance, business, health, so that each area has its own goals.

Decide what you are going to use your vision journal for. Then understand that the purpose of your vision journal is to engage with it every day. To establish your vision journal routine you will need to sort out the following:

  • When will you look through your vision journal every day?
  • How much time will you spend thinking about each goal or image?
  • Will you add notes to your journal every day?

The morning is a great time to whip through your vision journal, because it acts as a motivation tool for the rest of the day. If you have ever heard of the Law of Attraction, this is one of the tools that helps you manifest your dreams. Basically, the law dictates that what you focus on, is what you get in life. A positive mind that focuses on goals, will be able to meet those goals in time. That is how the world works. 

A visual journal will help you uncover your deepest needs, wants and desires. It will facilitate your transition into a proactive, positive mindset. Fill it with ‘power thoughts’ or affirmations, goals and images that inspire you towards your goals.

These practices are associated with building a vision for your life. It is a method for planning that allows you to set directional goals for yourself so that you can reach an end point. Update your goals often and add to them as you grow as a person.
